Good luck to those of you who are racing in Tuscaloosa, AL at the USAT Age Group National Championships this weekend: Mark McNaughton, Barbara Scanlon, Bryan Coleman, and Kira Hemminger. You’ll be in SEC territory, so make sure you show them what kind of speed we have up here in Buckeye country!

Also, we have many COTT members racing Deer Creek this weekend. Come out and cheer them on for the last local race of the season! Look for the COTT tent, grab a cow bell, and make some noise for our athletes!

Congratulations on another great race weekend! September 15, 2010

In case you haven’t heard, what happened to our very own Sara was truly terrifying, but it really could have happened to any one of us. After reading the articles and watching the story on the local news, I was moved by how in spite of her injuries, she has chosen to pay it forward and use this situation as an opportunity to express a very important message–SHARE THE ROAD.

Fortunately Sara’s injuries will heal, and hopefully she’ll be back on her bike soon. However, others in the global cycling community have not be as lucky. I feel that it’s very important to participate in the Ride of Silence tonight not only to help support our way of life, but also to support our friend Sara. I encourage you all to come out and participate tonight if you’re free.
